The Janes are closing in on USTAF Club Cross Country Nationals. This weekend, the Open and Master’s teams competed in the Southern California USATF Cross Country Championships at Crescenta Valley Park. The Janes swept the competition in both the Open and Master’s divisions, coming home with hardware and the first place stipend toward Nationals.
Leading the Open team and in the lead in the lead pack was Calene, followed by Sara, as the Janes battled Cal Coast over the challenging 6K course.
In the Master’s race, Nancy wasted no time in dominating the field, while her teammates used a solid pack to tackle the rolling hills and rocky terrain together.
This was the final cross country race of the series before the team wraps up their season with Cross Country Nationals in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on December 14th. The masters women hope to defend their 2018 team titles in the W50 and W40 divisions.
But look for the Janes to jump into some local turkey trots for a last bit of speedwork before the big race!
